Did you know this year is set to be Visit Indonesia Year 2008?
I thought this would be a mistake since this year is Beijing Olympics 2008. We will be competing with an international event with a country much bigger than us.
Anyway, I hope the government has something up their sleeves. I have found these videos on Visit Indonesia, looks cool but dont show any places of interest from Medan 
like Lake Toba - largest crater lake in the world or Orang Utan…

Also, you can visit the official Indonesia Tourism website for more details, somehow, Medan is always forgotten (in the poll) or not mentioned much when we are the third largest city in Indonesia!
