ValuAir JetStar Budget Airline fly to Medan

Great News travellers! More Flights to Medan! and Cheaper flights to Medan.
ValuAir / ValueAir will start flying from Singapore to Medan from 01 April 2008! Using either aircraft from Jet Star Asia of ValuAir, this will give travelers a chance to get cheaper flights to Medan. Since it is now monopolised by Singapore’s Silkair.
Yes, currently, only silkair flies from Singapore to Medan. Garuda used to fly to Singapore but was discontinued. Airfares to Singapore had become expensive and mostly fully booked during peak seasons since there is only one airline operating 2 flights aday from Singapore to Medan.
The only other choice for Medanese was to fly to KL or Penang on the way to Singapore (transit) by Air Asia or Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to get cheaper airfares and savings on the “Rp1.000.000 fiskal - exit tax”
I am sure the ValuAir flights will be warmly welcomed by Medanese and Singaporean alike. By the way, since ValuAir is a budget airline, it will use Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal One whilst SilkAir arrives at the newer Terminal 2.
