If you are moving to Medan and have school going children, you may want to know the schools in Medan

Medan International School

There is an International School in Medan known as Medan International School which most expatriates enroll their children into. However, the cost of tuition is rather high. If your company is paying for it, then this will be your first choice.

The security of the school is very good as all visitors will need identity to get into the school. The only downside of the school is its location. Situated on the way to Brastagi, it will take at least 45 minutes ( without any traffic jam ) to get there from Medan City Center. I know 45 minutes may not be much compared to overseas traveling distances, but it is considered far in Medan, if there is a traffic jam, the traveling time may take up to 1 hour 15 minutes.

Unless you are staying at the Royal Sumatra Residence, then you may not find the distance a problem since the school is only 10 minutes from there.
