There are several key office buildings in Medan including the newly built B&G Tower ( Best & Grow Tower ) which is the same building as JW Marriott Hotel Medan.

Most companies in Medan prefer to buy or lease shop houses known as RUKO or Rumah Kantor in Medan to house their offices and business activities. Some larger ones built their own buildings for the offices as it is a wiser investment for longer term.

• Capital Building Medan - tenanted by Taipan Chinese Retaurant, Wasabi Japanese Restaurants among other futures companies.
• BII Tower - at the junction of Jalan Diponegoro / Jalan Zainul Arifin beside Sun Plaza tenanted by BII Bank, OCBC Bank among other companies
• Bank Mandiri also leases out office spaces
