Grand Aston City Hall - Shopping Arcade, Hotel and Service Apartments

Here are some new pictures of the Grand Aston City Hall. There are three buildings joint together plus the original City Hall at the front of the buildings. The original City Hall is kept untouched re-painted in the original WHITE to keep its originality. It will feature art gallery of Medan.

The main building behind the city hall is the Grand Aston Hotel Medan by Aston International with 236 rooms and suites.

The second lower building is the shopping arcade which promises high class shopping and retail outlets.

The third building will be the service apartments for Medan.

There will also be a private club at the hotel. We were told the hotel will open in February 2009.

Grand Aston City Hall Hotel

It’s official the hotel name for Aston Hotel International Medan is known as:

“Grand Aston City Hall Hotel & Service Residences”

Looking at the name and description of the hotel has sent us a clue that there will be a service residence commonly known as service apartments in the hotel.

City Hall? That’s Medan’s historical City Hall building which is part of the Hotel now. Here’s a picture of the original City Hall of Medan

And the word “Grand” probably indicate the scale of luxury in the hotel like the Grand Swiss BelHotel opening soon in Medan.

With the opening of these new grand hotels, we now have 4 Grand Hotels in Medan:

1. Grand Angkasa International Hotel
2. Grand Anteras Hotel
3. Grand Swiss BelHotel
4. Grand Aston City Hall Hotel & Service Residences

So dont get mixed up which of the grand hotels you are staying in.
