O’Flahertys Irish Restaurant and Bar

This restaurant is very famous for its Baby Back Rib in Medan.

Located in the air force area of Medan near the airport of Medan Polonia, do not feel alarmed when you are on your way to this restaurant as you will have to go through small, dark winding roads into the air force area.

There are several other restaurants in the vicinity including the Sedap Nusantara (Indonesian food) and Malibu Steakhouse and the Padang Golf Course and Taman Malibu Residence.

O’Flahertys is supposed to be an Irish Restaurant serving western food but the most favorite menu is the Baby Back Rib, costing at Rp95.000 a plate, the price may be expensive with Medan Standard but when converted to USD, it is only $10!

If you are a back rib fan, I do recommend you try this one as personally I find that it taste better than the more expensive “Tony Romas” (also popular for back ribs) found in Jakarta and Singapore.

If back rib is not your kind of meat, you may try the Teriyaki Chicken. Honestly, I dont understand why they call it Teriyaki Chicken when it has exactly the same taste as The Back Ribs.

I have seen many foreigners and expats in this restaurant / bar so we must have the same liking

2. Medan Club Restaurant

Oh by the way, the road from the airport to this restaurant will close at 10pm on weekday and 10.30pm on weekends, you will have to drive out from another road from Jl. Amplas which will lead to Jl. B. Katamso to return to the city.
