This is a fairly new hotel built 3 years ago and only currently being promoted in Medan. Sentosa Lake Resort is located at the southern part of Lake Toba nearer to North Tapanuli than to Medan. It can take about 6 hours to get to Sentosa Lake Resort from Medan City. Otherwise, another alternative is to take a short 30 minutes flight from Medan to Tapanuli and take a 2o minutes ride to Sentosa Lake Resort.
The hotel is cleaner than most hotels you find at Lake Toba since it is still fairly new. With a modern setting, you will find your stay to be enjoyable.
Located right beside the Lake, visitors will get a very good view from the hotel room, dining area and almost any spot from the hotel. This looks to be a great place to enjoy and experience Lake Toba 24 hours aday.

The hotel room looks great with big bed and with reasonable room rate.
I wish to visit it within 2 months.
Gee, didn’t know that you can travel by air now to Tapanuli. Do you know where is the landing and how much does it cost??
The Hotel looks fantastic and comes with a fairly reasonable price. Apart from that, are there any other activities offered like, golfing etc…….. and yes, the short flight from Medan to Tanapuli….How much does it cost…??
It is a nice hotel. I’ve been there in March 2008.
If you look for a quiet place to rest with wonderful view and a nice swimming on the clean part of LAKE TOBA, this is the place. On the road from the small airport to Muara, you will have the best view of LAKE TOBA compares to any other panatapan (view post) surrounding lake toba). Give it a shot!

Saya beserta keluarga telah dtg ke sentosa lake toba pada liburan lebaran 2009. Kesan saya hotel bagus, bersih dan pelayanan dari petugas hotel memuaskan kami. Kami hanya berharap danau di pinggiran hotel dapat dibersihkan dari tumbuhan kiambang yg sudah semakin banyak, sehingga anak2 bisa berenang dan main air sepuasnya. Terimakasih
Menurut saya hotel ini adalah solusi inspirasi untuk wisatawan domestik maupun luar negeri agar mengunjungi Lake Toba tapi dengan pesona dan daya tarik alam yang berbeda. Untuk saat ini mayoritas wisatawan ke Lake Toba hanya sampai kota prapat sebagai akhir perjalanan. Padahal Lake Toba sangat luas dan banyak kawasan yang berpotensi sebagai objek wisata. Ini Hotel menawarkan suasana liburan yang menarik.
Can anyone tell me how to book for the room in Sentosa Lake Resort? I could not find their hotel website. Also, do the hotel take credit card payment when you are there?

This is the hotel website but they do not have online reservation, you will just need to call them up to make reservations. The hotel provides a mobile number which you can SMS for reservations. But we have not tried if it really works:

Hi. I called Sentosa Lake Resort using the given number. Unfortunately, the receptionist/receiver of my caller does not speak English.

Try call the Jakarta office of Medan office and not the hotel direct. I would presume the hotel receptionist may not be able to speak English well.
