By referring 45 minutes from the city is rather broad. The actual city center of Medan is the Central Post Office of Medan known as the 0km which is right next to Merdeka Walk. If one were to stay in city near Thamrin or Sumatra area, it can be further compared to those staying close to the Medan Polonia airport.
