I wanna be there but I can’t find my sweet heart news till now.

Have been a fan since the first time it opened in Sinar/Deli Plaza
never failed to impress me everytime I dine there when I come home to Medan
Unfortunately the one at sinar/menara plaza has been closed as the old mall including the shop houses where Sawasdee was located will be pulled down to make way for new apartments and mall.
Overall food is good but could be better, Pra Rad Prik is very good. If you ever tastes true Thai fried rice, then you will know that Sawasdee’s fried rice is not good. Quite a selection for desset, and not disapointed with the taste.
for me, Sawasdee Thai Restaurant is THE BEST restaurant eveeeeeeer!
I studied overseas and when I got back to medan every single year my first dinner has to be here! the rice in beautifully cooked.
The only problem in for first timer its hard to order the food without knowing the taste. in Sawasdee its all about knowing what to order and make sure the dishes go together. if not they could turns out weird.
experiment and try to taste all the menus before judging this restaurant.
this restaurant is one of the reason why Medan is famous for its food
one of my recommendation
try the Kai hor Bai Tuai (strong traditional flavor), combine with Tom yum (sour Thai signiture) and a bit of rice (absorb all the over powering taste)
mixture of traditional local ingredient, sweet Indonesian meat and Thai culture… absolutely beautiful!
