Medan is very popular for food especially its wide range of Chinese noodles, here we introduce you to Bak Mie Hock Seng.
Known among the local Chinese Community as the local most expensive coffee shop noodles, Mie Hock Seng is a must try for noodles lovers or individual looking for the true local specialty. The store has been around since 1932, with over 70 years of family recipes, this is one of the few that is hard to find in this metropolitan town.
Serve with seafood, fish balls, pork in kwetiau (rice noodles) or egg noddles or you can specify a mixture of both! There are two types of noodles serve, the standard (biasa) or special with more ingredients. Make sure you specify which one you would prefer on ordering, or you will be served the special at Rp38.000 per bowl.
Not cheap for coffee shop standard, but shop is still filled with people.
Head down for breakfast, Brunch or a quick Lunch, with The coffee corner served the traditional style Coffee (kopi) as well as Tea that compliment the meal extremely well. Traditionally rich milk coffee and milk tea is a local favorite.
