Medan Polonia International Airport
Polonia International Airport is one of the main gates to Medan North Sumatra Indonesia . This airport serves the flights to big cities in:
* Indonesia , like Jakarta , Batam, Pekan Baru
* Kuala Lumpur , Penang and Ipoh in Malaysia
* Singapura
* Taipei in Taiwan
Because of it position is too close to city center, about 2 km, this airport prompted the restrictions and limitation for the levels of the buildings in Medan .
There are few tall buildings in Medan that trespassed this regulations. Besides that, this airport also predicted already or almost overload. Since flighs permission to pass by in Indonesia is lenient in year 2000, the number of flight that served in Polonia is increased drastically.
Therefore, this airport in the next few years will be move to Kuala Namu, Deli Serdang Regency area.
