The my inpression to have japanease food in Medan as follow,
Best near taste of Japanese was Tenya and Atami but now we cannot taste it regretably.
Most popular restaurant is Sushitei and their taste is adjust Medanese but not so bad Icyo is also
New shop Zhuma more study Japanease food
I want come back Tenya and Atami taste in Medan.
Iwao,
You are absolutely right about Tenya and Atami, they served better Japanese food. We really should ask ourselves why the better Japanese restaurants have closed.
Was it the higher prices? Their poorer locations of poor parking were definitely not helping them either.
SushiTei is most popular now and has expanded to 2 branches in Medan, new branch at Sun Plaza lower ground. Prices have increased over the years. Their strong point I should say its the Free Macha for all customers.
