With the arrival of new Executive Chef – Stephen wright and Assistant executive Chef – Tubagus Syahril, JW Marriott Hotel Medan is presenting various food and beverage promotions designed specially for all foodies to experience the different feeling of authentic delicate cuisine in Jade Chinese Restaurant, Prime Steak House and Prime Bar.
Prime Steakhouse – Tasmanian Salmon Promotion
Salmon has been chosen as the prime ingredient for this month at Prime Steakhouse. With Medanese being a health conscious group of people, Chef Purwanto feels that Salmon is a ‘luxury, tasteful and price affordable’ ingredient and is also the best seller at this elegant restaurant. Not to forget that all fish have fats called omega-3s, but Salmon being regarded as the king of fish oil, is one of the richest sources.
Known for using only the freshest and best ingredient available, Tasmanian Salmon used has to be specially flown in, and not one of the many frozen ones found around town, instead it’s special delivery ensured that the fish is kept well within the temperature range for it maximum quality.
While there are wide varieties of Salmon around the world, I personally have tasted some of the freshest and the best.. be it the Scottish salmon, Alaskan salmon or the Norwegian salmon, they all tasted alright ok. Though each had their highlights, but nothing beat the good and consistency of the Tasmanian Salmon.

Coffee and Smoked Salt Cured Salmon
As Chef Purwanto explained to us, “salt cured”, a form of cooking method is used for this dish. The preparation is 2 days in advance, elegantly presented and not only that it is such a picture perfect dish, well, the Coffee and Smoked Salt Cured Salmon is definitely a healthy and filling appetizer.

Salmon Rendang
Fusion got to be the word for this main course. Undeniably an odd combination of ingredients, the spiciness of Salmon Rendang came from the pepper rather than the local chillies, should you prefer the more exotic taste, voiced out the special request to the captain and your wish shall be fulfilled.
This delightful “Tasmanian Salmon” is served in 8 different kind of cooking technique; smoked, brinded, cured, marinated, sashimi, grilled, steamed, and slow cooked. Price started from Rp. 65.000++ / portion.
Prime Bar:
Blast your evening with friends by beer adventure during the German Festive, Prime Bar, you can enjoy one liter beer for only Rp. 60.000++, which you can enjoy it by buying one liter beer mug for only Rp 150.000++.
