Medan City Guide by MedanKu.com for Jet Star Asia

- Best breakfast: Duck bihun (soup) at Jalan Gandhi, or try Medan lontong sayur (vegetables in coconut milk).
- Best place to party with the gang: Undoubtedly the Capital Building. Begin the night with karaoke at Classical on the fifth ?oor, followed by clubbing at Retro on the sixth ?oor.
- Best buy for under S$50: Enjoy a two-hour Indonesian massage with twin therapists at Eucalypt’s Spa Griya Dome, a truly unforgettable experience. Advance booking is needed.
- Must buy (money no object!): A luxurious night at the Presidential Suite of Marriott »”>JW Marriott Hotel.
- Survival tip for tourists: At the airport, negotiate for the porter service. The maximum price to pay is at IDR10,000 (S$1.50) per piece.
- Must-eat: Steamed pomfret ?sh at Rumah Makan Bintang — sweet and sour with a touch of spiciness all in one.
- I love Medan because: There’s plenty of good food, cheap spa treatments and a unique local culture.

Nice review, will be good to see in an in flight magazine no doubt.
BTW, the CBD is only 5 mins from Airport….what car do you drive? All the time estimations on this site are way off
mmm… that’s the estimation by Jet Star Asia, I would say probably about 10 mins depending on traffic
