Last week I went to Hill Park for the first time. As an animal lover, what I saw shocked me.

Most of the animals there are left under terribly hot sun almost all the time. There was no shading or minimal shading only, and those two big tortoise have to hide themselves in the narrow shadow cast of the roof.

And the eagle next to the rail road was locked on its foot with only a 15 cm-length chain.

Hill park is “all-concrete” entertainment next to dense woods.

And cars are parked on lanes without any trees.

The concept of Hill Park is one that is very “concrete”.

    Fanny,
HillPark ticket costs Rp12.000 per entry, rides costs Rp10.000 and Rp12.000 depending of types of rides.

    Syafrin,

Yes, We do agree with you about the lack of trees in HillPark. It seems like, everyone has overlooked this matter as many have taken for granted of the “cooler” climate of Sibolangit compared to Medan.

Our trip was a cloudy day, infact it rained, hence we did not feel the heat.

You have made a great point, let’s hope the management notices too.

    we went to HillPark.

    They are so going bankrupt……..

Only six cars in the carpark on a weekday!

All the restaurants closed except for two!

This is no way to run a theme park.

Apparently it does get busy on weekends.

Unfortunately Medan’s economy is not yet strong enough for this kind of place.

  6. Medan Indonesia Says:

    We definitely hope not!

This is one good place for the family on weekends.

I dont think they will be opening on weekdays.

We were informed that they will only be opened on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays + One day before the public holiday.
