The Grand Aston City Hall & Serviced Residences Medan proudly appoints Mr. Herman Courbois as the General Manager.
A Dutch national who was born in Epé, one of the most beautiful tourist destination city in the Netherlands. Herman will be responsible in opening the Grand Aston City Hall & Serviced Residences and shall be concentrating on developing and improving the hotel operations and its competitiveness with the top hotels in the region. With 12 years Indonesian experience on his shoulder, Herman has proven to be a well versed and aware of the hospitality industry around the region. Herman was also formerly the opening General Manager of Aston Hotel Palembang, a 4 star property in Palembang , which was steered from the beginning by this handsome Dutch Captain which proved its glory existence during his leadership for the 3 consecutive years.
Upon his arrival in Indonesia in 1996, Herman started his career as a Restaurant Manager at Omni Batavia Hotel Jakarta for a year. Right after that, he moved to Novotel Bukit Tinggi with the same position as Restaurant Manager but only lasted few months as his extraordinary qualities & capabilities which being his strong points landed him an appointment as the Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at Novotel Jambi. He stayed as the EAM for a few years moving within the Novotel Properties and ending in Jambi Tepian Ratu Hotel.
As it is not enough experience for him to enrich and sharpen his strong capabilities, Herman then moved to Bali as the Vice President of Resort Operations Club Bali till mid 2005 and in which after that his qualities caught the eye of the Chairman of The Aston International who then immediately appointed him the General Manager of Aston Palembang & Convention Center.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr. Herman said: “I am very excited to be taking on this new role, especially at a time when the hospitality industry in Medan, North Sumatera is starting to grow quickly and becoming increasingly dynamic. Aston city hall will never get opening theirselves imadiatelly if their project management still get the problem.Like an the interior design isn’t more change.And many more..I fell the project will failure

I’m from Kuala Lumpur and enquiring on behalf my former Indonesian female employee Siti ramah(kampung keling-medan).She was woking in my steakhouse for 5 years and can cook most western and local dishes.She is good in making fine sauces for the steaks and also dispensing of
fruitjuice and smoothies.
Its a pity that somebody with such good skills
have to work as a laundry lady partime in Medan as she’s has 3 school going
