Gleni Hospital Medan Renovated

Newly Renovated Gleni International Hospital in Medan

We recently visited the newly renovated Gleni International Hospital in Medan.

Previously this was the franchised or managed Gleneagles Hospital that was outdated for many years.

The newly renovated although not fully renovated has taken shape. We were impressed of the new cleaner whiter atmosphere compared to the previously beige darker interior.

The new layout is also more convenient as they have moved the pharmacy, laboratory on the ground floor where it is much more convinient for outpatients who seek consulations from general praticieners. Previously, getting medicines from the pharmacy takes too long as staff needs to get them from 2nd storey.

Outpatient Clinic Gleni Hospital Medan

Outpatients and the 24 hour Emergency (ER) center is located at the rear of the hospital building where the car park is.
The front of the hospital building is dedicated to hospital admissions, laboratory, general check up and a cafetaria for guests.

Hopefully, the wards and rooms will be updated to a more cleaner environment and standard of service and equipments will be upgraded too.

Gleni Hospital 24 Hour Emergency

One thing still fall short is the flow of traffic in and out of the Gleni Hospital Building which was much better when it was Gleneagles Hospital. Because of the one way traffic on the main road of the hospital, the current flow does not allow vehicles to make a round trip if there is no parking spot in the carpark forcing vehicles to turn out of the hospital to turn round a block of buildings to return to the entrance of the hospital. In simple terms, the vehicle entrance and exit should be switched.
