Medan’s Popular Rice Noodle at Selat Panjang
If you are Medanese, I am sure you must have tasted this Char Kwe Tiao at Selat Panjang by the 88 year old man.
Everytime we pass the stall, we always wonder why this old man is still selling Kwe Tiao at his age. It must be his hobby! He has been selling it for more than 50 years.

He makes his own rice noodles with pure rice flour unlike others who buy the rice noodles from the market. The rice noodle does taste different and have a different texture to it. The stall is small with only 4 tables and 12 chairs.
Apparently as I read from a food blog by Andie, this old man likes to travel hence his stall is open only half the time, so it is not easy get hold of this Rice Noodle. So the next time you pass by Selat Panjang and see his stall open, you might want to stop by and have a bite. Be warned though, you may not even get a seat and might just have to take away your rice noodle.
