Meet & Greet and Fahrenheit Live Concert in Berastagi

This Christmas!

Fahrenheit – the Taiwanese boy band that has achieved success in the Southeast Asia. The group consists of four members: Aaron Yan, Wu Chun, Calvin Chen and Jiro Wang. They are managed by Jerry Fen’s Comic Productions Co., Ltd. and records albums with HIM International Music. Fahrenheit are often associated with their seniors S.H.E, and are commonly referred to as the most successful Taiwanese boy band after F4.

Derived from the definition of Fahrenheit, each of the four members represents a season or temperature that corresponds with their different personalities. Calvin Chen represents spring (warm); Jiro Wang represents summer (hot); Wu Chun represents autumn (cool); and Aaron Yan represents winter (cold). Each of the four members also has his respective temperature represented on the Fahrenheit scale: Calvin Chen is at 77 degrees, Jiro Wang is at 95 degrees, Wu Chun is at 59 degrees, and Aaron Yan is at 41 degrees.

Fahrenheit first gained minor recognition around late 2005 when their first all-together series, KO One, was broadcast on television in Taiwan. On December 28, 2005, Fahrenheit officially became a vocal quartet boy band.

On 15th September 2006, Fahrenheit’s first album was released and it was sold more than 80.000 copies in Taiwan in the first month.

Fahrenheit’s fans has expanded to Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and other Southeast Asia country. Now Fahrenheit is becoming more familiar to North American and European.

Their much anticipated second album, Two-sided Fahrenheit, was released on January 4, 2008. The new album saw the four employ more advanced harmonizing techniques as well as some progression. Nonetheless, the band’s youthful energy was retained in songs such as the opening song for the drama Romantic Princess: “Xin Wo”, which is a duet by Fahrenheit and their seniors S.H.E. On the album “Xiao Xiao Da Ren Wu” is the Disney theme song for 2008.

On January 2, 2009, Fahrenheit released their third album, Love You More and More.

Typical Itinerary Summary:

14 Nov : 11 Am leaving the start point at Garoga Village – stay over night (camp) in the mountain
15 Nov ; Continuing the trek passing the Simangande waterfall – Back to the start point – Having BBQ fresh Fish + Tuak a local drink ( Palm wine ) – back to your hotel.

The Samosir Tourism team will pick up/drop off any participants from/to their hotel.

Requirements for participants :

You need to have a really good condition/fit/energic and you do like challenge.
Put a good tracking shoes on
Rain jacket
Bring your own flashlight if u have.
If you bring your own tent will cost you less for the trip.
Follow the organizer a long the trip, dont make your own path, it is quiet dangerous.
Bring your own drink water as much as you can, beside that organisator will provide.
Better to wear a long shirt on.
Bring your Camera.

This is an introduction trekking/climb trip , if you bring your own food/tent it wont cost you anything, you are very welcome.

Lake Toba Tourism Event : Pesta Danau Toba 2009

In 2008, the government of Sumatera Utara province successfully organized “PESTA DANAU TOBA” event as part of core tourism event in North Sumatra which was also presented by the President of Indonesia Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono and several cabinet ministers.

Due to its success, the event will be organized yet again as PESTA DANAU TOBA 2009 which has become part of VISIT INDONESIA YEAR 2009 and has been officially published in tourism calender all over the world featuring Danau Toba / Lake Toba as one of the key tourist destination of Indonesia.

Yayasan Puteri Indonesia (YPI) is holding the XIV Pemilihan Puteri Indonesia 2009 (Miss Indonesia Pageant 2009). The Grand Final of Pemilihan Puteri Indonesia (Miss Indonesia Pageant) 2009 will be held on Friday, October 9th, 2009, in Teater Tanah Airku, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

YPI as the only franchise holder of “Miss Universe Pageant” for Indonesia, has the privilege to present Miss Universe in the Miss Indonesia Pageant, and for this last few years, Indonesia has always been the first country to be visited by the New Miss Universe.

Puteri Indonesia 2008-09: Zivanna Letisha Siregar represented Indonesia in Miss Universe 2009

In this event, 38 finalists will be representing 33 provinces in Indonesia. Before the Grand Final, the finalists will go through a quarantine session starting from September 28 th – October 2nd, in Nikko Hotel, Jakarta.

Fatima Syahnur Lubis, S.Psi (Ima) born in Medan , is the eldest daughter of three from Father: Alm. H. Syahruddin Lubis, SH dand Mother: Hj. Nurlela Siregar, SH.

Fatima is a masters student S2 in Psikologi Industri and Organisasi from University of North Sumatra (USU), working as Staff Sekretaris at (PEMKO) Daerah Kota Medan.

The Miss Indonesia Pageant

The Miss Indonesia Pageant’s aim is to increase the positive role of the young women that can be set as a role model for others, and to choose the nation’s ambassador for the national or international event. This pageant also gives an opportunity for the Top 3 Winners to participate in International events, such as Miss Universe and Miss International.

Requirements of Puteri Indonesia:
1.    Indonesia citizen, age 18-25 years old, not married, university student/functionary with minimum tall 170 cm.
2.    The local candidate must be domicile or represented her province.
3.    Have general knowledge eclectic about Indonesian tourism and culture.
4.    Good looking/beauty, smart and personality.
5.    Can communicate in different languages will be of more value.
6.    Preferably having local expertise/achievement on certainly sector (such as: music, dancer, singer, leadership, language, etc.)

What is Cosplay?

Cosplay, short for “costume roleplay”, is a fan labor type of performance art whose participants outfit themselves, with often-elaborate costumes and accessories, as a specific character or idea. Characters are usually sourced in various Japan, South Korea, China, and Philippines media, including manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, graphic novels, video games, hentai and fantasy movies. Other sources include performers from J-pop, J-rock, visual kei, fantasy music stories (such as stories by the band Sound Horizon), novels, and objects from cyberspace or the real world that are unique and dramatic (especially if they have or can be given an anthropomorphic form).

Cosplay in Japan

Cosplay participants (“cosplayers”) form a subculture centered around wearing their costumes and reenacting scenes or inventing likely behavior inspired by their chosen sources. In some circles, the term cosplay has been broadened to include simply wearing a costume, without special consideration given to enacting characters in a performance.

The Mid Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, or in Chinese, Zhong Qiu Jie is a popular harvest festival of the Chinese calendar and is celebrated on the 15th day of the eight lunar month which for this year, falls on the 3 October 2009.

‘Chinese legends say that the moon is at its brightest and roundest on this day, and it was an occasion for the Chinese to hold rituals to greet the cool weather and sacrifice to the Moon Goddess, as well as watching the moon rise and enjoying its full, silvery light.
